Frogs are a symbol of transformation and protection. Our Gay Stoner Frog Collection is a celebration of the LGBTQ community and the power of personal metamorphosis. The frog is a symbol for the transformation that takes place when you start to accept yourself just as you are, without trying to change yourself to fit into society's mold.
I choose to combine some designs with weed, because cannabis can be used as a tool to transform your consciousness and emotions. The leaf is also a symbol of abundance, as cannabis and other plants can be used for medicine, nourishment, and to make clothing.
When you wear these garments, you are not only expressing yourself, but you are also taking an active stand for the freedom of expression for all people. Liberation begins with the self; wear this collection to celebrate your transformation.
A FROGGIE COLLABORATION BETWEEN ME AND KAY ROSE TEA
The sketches below are from Kay Rose Tea, a digital artist in Kansas City. When I first saw her drawing adorable frogs on TikTok I immediately sent her a DM because I knew she would be the perfect illustrator to partner with for this collection. I had sent her some initial sketches and ideas for what I was envisioning for this collection but she was the one that made these adorale frog characters come to life!
I then took those sketches and figured out the composition so I could ink over them and add color. I wanted each illustration to be simple enough to maybe turn into an enamel pin one day but vibrant enough-to catch your attention when enlarged on a shirt. I’m beyond thrilled for how they turned out!
